These mediation stools are hand made by a professional cabinetmaker, they are made from Douglas Fir, which is a member of the pine family. Douglas Fir is one of the better quality pines, commonly used for exterior joinery for its attractive grain and its durability compared to other pines.

Height to front of stool is 6 inches (153mm) and sloping upwards to 7 inches (178mm). This angle tilts the pelvis forward whilst sitting which makes it much easier to sit upright when mediating, especially when compared to just using cushions.

Seat depth is approximately 6 inches (153mm).

The legs are hinged using solid brass hinges for appearance and durability and they fold flat for easy storage.

I have applied a lovely finish on these, they are hardwearing and smooth but not really shiny otherwise you might slide off!
