Blue Raku II - large handmade lampwork glass lentil focal bead - SRA
Description
This handmade lampwork glass bead has been individually made by me in my North Somerset studio.
A large lentil shaped bead, made with a base of blue glass, decorated with reactive 'raku' frit which reacts in the flame to give a variety of colours. Both sides are similar, although one face has a red reaction, the other face has a turquoise reaction.
Made on a 2.4mm mandrel to give a hole slightly larger, this bead is approx 34mm long and 36mm wide and 14mm deep.
All my beads have been annealed in a digitally controlled kiln for strength and durability then hand cleaned.
