This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique. It is entirely hand crafted, unique and very special.
This year I have made a new range of 4 smaller, all different designs of Love Heart suncatchers.
This is Heart 01 which is named Rainbow and the colours go round the heart clockwise from the lovely bright red at the bottom. I have used some lovely shades and textures of glass in here and am delighted with the effect of combining both a rainbow and a heart together in one piece.
I am really pleased with this new design. It is 8cm high and hangs from a silvery chain which is securely attached to the top of the heart.
It looks lovely hanging in the window where the different textures and colours of glass give it movement and sparkle as it catches the light.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass. For example I have just made another of this design as a present for a friend but placed the colours anticlockwise. This will make a wonderful present especially for a birthday or Easter but also at any time as a special gift for someone you love.
