This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique. It is entirely hand crafted and unique.
This year I have made a new special range of 6 different designs of Love Heart suncatchers.
This is Heart 01 which is named Grin (seemed to be grinning at me when I took its photo). I have used some of the lovely types of textured bright red glass which I bought in especially for these hearts. This one also has some pink glass, (candy coloured in the middle), some clear iridescent and pretty textured pieces.
I am really pleased with this design. It is 4 inches high and hangs from a silvery chain which is securely attached to the top of the heart.
It looks lovely hanging in the window where the different textures and colours of glass give it movement and sparkle as it catches the light.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass. This will make a wonderful present especially for Easter, a birthday or at any time for someone you love.
