Blanket Throw hand knitted patchwork and applique
Description
A knitted blanket/throw, hand knitted in Browns and Reds in Acrylic yarn. Each individual knitted square is surrounded by a crochet border in a Cream acrylic yarn. I have used the same yarn to give the blanket a crocheted boarder with a finale round of Dark Brown crochet shell pattern as a finishing surround. Each square has an appliquéd design sewn onto it. Pink knitted hearts, floral printed cotton with embroidery stitching and crochet stylized flowers. The blanket is soft and cosy and would be lovely for a little girl to snuggle up under, or as a throw over a favourite chair or as a lap blanket.

Inspiration
I have a number of knitted squares hidden away in my loft along with some that were given me. They were beginning to take over so I decided to match some of them up into blanket/throws. I adore patchwork and as these one's where odd one's it just seemed right to edge them in crochet and make them up into a patchwork blanket once sewn up I thought it would look even prettier with some appliqué work
