An elegant birdy couple with super long legs made from zinc coated wire, made so as to be adapted to suit my customer’s requirements.
The handsome groom is made from pale grey linen with a matching pale grey breast made from eco-felt. He wears a dusky pink felt bow-tie. His matching tophat is optional as it is only pinned in place for the photographs, please let me know if you would like it stitched in place or not.
The beautiful bride is made from antique embroidered whitework cotton, which is cut from a vintage tablecloth. I have paired this with a white wool felt for the bird’s breast and added lace appliqué wings and a delicate lace veil. The veil is edged in handcut felt flowers in the same shade of dusky pink as the accessories worn by the groom bird. Each flower has a tiny clear seedbead centre.
Both birds have black seedbead eyes, pale tan coloured beaks cut from eco-felt, and are firmly plumped with polyester toy filling. Each bird also has a wonderful fan-tail...the groom’s is made from grey eco-felt and the bride’s is cut from the white wool felt.
