Abandoned Christmas Trees: A very small book (zine) of Photographs
Description
I am always haunted by the sad carcasses of formerly loved and cherished Christmas trees which litter the streets at the start of the new year. One year I went out with my camera and stalked around the back alleyways and street corners near my home to see what I could find. Here are the results. The latest one in the year (the one with the lovely chicken) was shot in August!
Hand stitched by me.
MATERIAL - The paper is bright white and smooth.

Inspiration
I've always loved little books, but had the slight problem that I'm no writer of stories - recipes and stuff about food perhaps, but as I plan my foodie bestseller I started to make little tiny zines to show off some of my more peculiar photographic projects.
There's abandoned Christmas trees, found shopping lists, birthday banners, photos of grungy bits of Manchester and some of my favourite graffiti photos. I'm no sewer either, so it's a labour of love each time I get my purple thread out to sew one of these little gems together.
