Onion Hoe
Description
A lightweight, beautifully balanced and effective tool, well suited to keeping the whole of your garden free of weeds - not just the onion bed!
The handle is of hand-turned ash, with brass ferrule. The blade is high carbon steel, reclaimed from discarded handsaw blades and properly heat treated to take and hold a keen edge for slicing through those weed roots. The blade is securely riveted to the stainless steel shaft to give a lifetime's use.
Inspiration
Having used massed produced onion hoes in the past, I've always found them to be somewhat clumsy and not inclined to hold an edge.
