I've always loved the pretty effect of Bavarian crochet, so I had to try it and it turns out that it's not as tricky as it looks, but it is very yarn hungry and, once you get passed the first few rounds, it is also very time consuming, but I think it's so pretty it's worth the time. This would make a lovely lap blanket or a pretty decorative throw, it measures 90cm X 90cm and is made of good quality 4ply yarn, the lilac, cream and burgundy are 50% Pure Merino wool & 50% fine acrylic and the navy is 100% pure new wool. I have included a picture of the back of this blanket too, as it's almost as pretty that side, I think it has an almost 'starburst' type appearance. All the yarns are new.
