Beautiful black lace garter layered with ivory satin ribbons and more sumptuous black lace. Hand-finished with a black and ivory lace and a satin ribbon bow and a black heart charm with diamantes and key lock detail.

This garter is 20cm (8 inches) in diameter and will stretch to 56cm (22 inches). Each garter comes gift-wrapped in a black matt lidded box, hand-ties with an ivory or white satin ribbon.

Traditionally worn on the bride’s left leg, the garter is removed by the groom with his teeth, once the couple are wed. It was historically good luck for the couple’s wedding guests to touch or take the garter from the bride but also it was used, many centuries ago, to confirm consummation of the marriage.
