Coat Hooks - Upcycled Metal & Wood with painted numerals
Description
This coat rail is made from a piece of reclaimed wooden floorboard, and architrave. The numbers 1, 2, 3 have been hand painted with a quality green heritage paint, then two coats of quality medium brown furniture wax have been applied and buffed to a shine.
The hooks were originally designed for other uses, the outside two were brackets, they have a great shape and colour and make ideal coat hooks, and the middle one was an old tap, which I have added some additional metal pieces to turn it into a hook.
The rail has been finished off with a hand stamped recycled copper "Reclaimed Time" plaque (on the end of the rail).
This would make a great gift for anyone who wears coats, hats or scarfs. Or uses umbrellas, bags, etc...
The wood has been pre-drilled ready to fix to your wall (screws are supplied however you will need to source your own wall fixings as they will be dependent on the type of walls in your property).

4cm Deep wooden base (hooks will protrude 11cm from the wall)
Inspiration
I am always on the lookout for interesting and unusual items that I can incorporate into my work. I have had these brackets and the tap for a while as I knew they would make ideal coat hooks. They needed a good scrub with wire wool and then a bit of Brasso, but they turned out great.
