Inspiration
As an avid collector of old Post cards and Photographs, I wanted to create something that would display these wonderful images in a modern format so I created a collection of photo collage cushions.
Being reproduced from original postcard and photographs from around the 1900s, they have been well handled and nearly always needing a little bit of TLC to restore old dog-eared corners, scratches and faded colours that time has taken away, however with a bit of Photoshop magic I can restore them back to life. Each collage can take from 10 to 20 hours in restoration work, but its time well spent when the images are returned to their full magnificence and re-introduced to a brand new audience.
Each cushion is constructed by me:
Front panel is hand printed onto optical white fabric then cut and machine stitched onto a soft black suede fabric backing, with my trademark heart pull zipper.
