Description
This image is of a couple and a Landrover and the rhyme tells of the mans compulsion to buy Landrovers much to his wife's annoyance! The landrover can be substituted for any other vehicle, sport, shopping etc. The image is supplied in a cream frame, and measures approx 10" x 8"
Inspiration
This body of my work has been created as an affordable art range. The naive style of the imagery and the rhymes are my idea of a modern day sampler. All the fabrics are upcycled and the images are all cut by hand without the use of patterns. The images are then sewn onto the background using a sewing machine as if I was using the machine to simply draw with. I like the idea that each piece is completely unique and no two will ever be the same.
