A cotton pouch in a beanbag shape containing crystals that swell and turn into a cooling gel when submerged in water. Simply put in cold water for 10-30 minutes, wipe off the excess water and use to soothe aches and pains or to bring down a temperature. In a pink elephant print on the front with sparkly bright pink on the back.
Brilliant for headaches, tension, sore eyes, bruising, muscle pain, migraines and keeping cool in the heat.
Like putting a cool flannel on your forehead but stays cool so no need to keep rinsing it under the tap. These pouches stay cool and hydrated for days at a time before the gel eventually dries out and returns to crystal form. Just hang them up somewhere warm and airy when you've finished with them to dry out thoroughly. can be rehydrated again and again.
Great for children in conjunction with infant paracetamol to bring down a high temperature.
Must be used with adult supervision as the gel swells to 400 times its original size so could be a choking hazard if the pouch broke. I sew these bags as securely as possible so breakage is unlikely, but I have a 3 year old and don't doubt that he could break into the ancient Egyptian pyramids if he was curious enough about what was inside, let alone a fabric pouch of exciting magic crystals, so exercise caution.
My husband gets migraines, my small son catches every cold/bug going and I get stress headaches from looking after them both. We were taking more painkillers than I'm comfortable with so I looked into ways of soothing pain naturally. we've found these items really helpful.
