Inspiration

This is one of my paintings where I was inspired with how you can use oils and various brushes to create blends and feathered effects. I got quite excited with this technique and so I made a few various designs. I found it great in taking an ordinary picture to paint first and then to distort it in a way that it keeps it's original essence but gives it more interest. I know it is not to everyone's taste but the uniqueness creates a topic of conversation to people who have visited my home and seen it. I have made two of these paintings although they are both different as it is impossible to recreate the same picture using the feathering technique as the finished result is quite random. They currently hang together in my room and they look great as a pair, and I have the pink feathered flowers in the middle and this makes a great combination. I have added a picture just to show an example of how they look together.
