Organic Denim natural hand dyed bustle skirt
Description
A custom made bustle skirt made from wonderfully soft 100% organic cotton denim and naturally dyed to a colour of your choice. The examples are osange (yellow), cold dyed madder (the pale strawberry-ice dappled pink) and a dilute brazilwood (the pale coral pink) coral. Don't be limited by these colours though, have a look at my tunic listing at or just tell me what colour you would like, I have a wide range of natural and procion dyes.
The skirt is bustled with hooks and eyes at the back, so can also be worn down, which gives it a hem longer in the back than the front. There are two bustling patterns, "A" (as seen in the madder skirt), and "V" (as seen in the brazilwood and osange skirts). The skirt comes to just above the knee at the front.

Inspiration
I inherited some natural dyeing stuff from a friend whose child is at the "eat all the toxic things" stage, it's great fun, it's like the alchemy bits in Skyrim! I had been toying with the idea of a bustle skirt for a while. I love that it can be worn two ways and is casual enough to bring a bit of Victoriana to everyday wear
