Oh Dita! - Red Rose Fabric Bird
Description
I have named this little bird Dita. With her abstract rose patterned fabric of the 40s or 50s, the classic black and red colour combination and the naughty glint in her beady black eyes, she reminds me of the famous burleque star and glamourous queen of vintage fashion that has the same name!
Dita is free-standing on re-purposed copper wire legs and has a dainty black felt beak. She is curvaceous and gorgeously shaped with polyester toy filling.
Post is first class and if you choose to purchase additional items from my shop at the same time (excluding I am afraid the weighty Hector, the rabbit doorstop) I will refund the postage costs of the additional items.
Inspiration
My daughter purchased a wonderful vintage dress in this red rose fabric. She wanted it shortened and after doing this I was left with the offcut fabric. I thought it would make a cute wee bird...nothing is wasted - or safe- in my house!
