A print of Wild Wilhelmina – a grey squirrel with a huge imagination and a penchant for adventure.

Wilhelmina is partial to dressing up as a pirate, preferably of the Amazon sort. She frequently draws the other circus animals into her games, and one of her favourites is 'Escape from the Menagerie', in which the animals take turns to escape from their "cages" (her description of the really rather comfortable caravans the creatures call home, and which, incidentally, are never locked). The remaining animals then run around the circus searching for them. Given the enormous number of tents, not to mention difficult-to-reach hiding places up in the heights of the big top, Wilhelmina's game can take quite some time, and has even been known to delay circus performances.
