Description
As the rams wait in their pens ready for judging, they cram together head to tail. Each face having subtle markings. This Animal figurine is tactile and reassuring to hold in the palm. A uniquely detailed carving from a section of sycamore branch finished with locally produced beeswax.
Individually produced in North Yorkshire by me, I make each and every carving unique as I work with the shape of the wood, and the natural flaws in the wood alter the colour and grain making each piece different.
A Palm carving is shaped to fit in the palm, and small enough to place under a pillow, discreet enough to be carried in a pocket or purse. Ideal for times of stress, bringing comfort and relaxation with the warmth of the wood.
The animal shape can assist in the act of ‘mindfulness’ and refocus as your fingers and eyes caress the contours of the carving.

Masham Sheep Fair. Masham Sheep Fair takes places each September in Masham, near Ripon in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. It boasts one of the largest and finest market squares in England and is famous for its sheep sales, records show that in the past as many as 70,000 sheep used to be sold each year.
