Appliqued 'Beach Hut' Doorstop
Description
Add a nautical feel to your home with this 'Beach Hut' doorstop.
There are two styles of doorstop for sale. The first has a blue gingham beach hut with a red gingham door and roof, appliqued onto a beige fabric and lined from three quarters the way up to the top with navy blue fafric.
The second has a red gingham beach hut with a red gingham door and roof, appliqued onto beige fabric, and lined three quarters of the way up to the top with blue gingham fabric.
The doorstops are filled two thirds with rice, which I have put into a removable bag for ease when washing, and topped up with toy stuffing, to give a fuller look. Each are tied with three stands of jute twine.
The doorstop weighs about 1 kilo, and measures about 12 inches in height.
Doorstops are machine washable at 40 degrees.
Inspiration
I had seen some doorstops, while out shopping, and thought to myself, I could do that, and living on the coast, it had to be a nautical design.
