embroidered owls fabric notebook cover and A6 sketchbook.

this pretty notebook cover features a pair of appliqued and embroidered owls on the front cover, based on an original drawing by Little Black Heart, and is entirely handmade by me on a domestic sewing machine.

the birds are in beige floral fabric with bright red hearts on their chests. tiny leaves decorate the branches extend onto the inner cover flap.
the fabrics are layered and appliqued onto pre-washed calico, before i draw onto them with free machine (free motion) embroidery. i then make up the finished item.

everything is cut, stitched and handmade, with care, by me, ensuring each notebook cover is unique, well made and securely constructed.

the slipcover is made from heavy weight calico which has been pre-washed several times so it’s soft and should not shrink.
the seams are overlocked and topstitched and the cover is stiffened with vilene.
this A6 sketchbook is the perfect size for handbags or pockets, & would make a beautiful & unique gift.

the calico cover is washable and re-usable, so you can simply replace the sketchbook when it's full – the first book is included. the sketchbooks are manufactured in the UK. they are quality casebound hard cover books, containing 92 pages of 140gsm acid-free, all media cartridge paper. the books themselves measure approx. 15.5cm x 11cm
