Red admiral glass, freshwater pearl and hammered silver spirals necklace
Description
I've named this after a butterfly as the deep colours within the lampwork focal bead remind me of its wings. They also look like the detail on a Klimt painting and this inspired the use of the spirals above and below the pendant. The colours are mirrored in the dangling pearls in cranberry, deep blue and golden brown, and tiny spirals nestle next to each one. On a faux leather deep brown cord, the necklace fastens with a sliding Chinese knot which means it can be worn long or shorter according to your preference - simply slip the necklace on over your head and pull the beaded cords through the knot to adjust.
It's a very eclectic piece, and I hope you will enjoy wearing it as much as I did making it.
The necklace comes gift wrapped as a perfect present or a pampering treat for you. I recommend you store it in a tarnish-resistant box or pouch, and give the pearls a polish with a dry cloth after you’ve worn them to maintain their shine.
Dimensions: glass pendant 38x18 mm; total pendant drop length 7 cm; cord length adjustable to a maximum of 58 cm (23 inches)
