This is a lovely little shopping bag I have made using "Seaside Stripe" by Janelle Duracolour Fabrics. It is fully lined in cream cotton and is machine washable.

It is small enough to carry at your side when carrying heavy loads but will sit snugly on your shoulder when you have lighter shopping (or knitting which is what I use mine for).

The bag measures roughly 40cm across the top opening, is 30cm deep and I have made this bag with a box bottom so the base measures about 8cm.
