This is the ultimate felt Top Hat. Perfect for weddings, grand events and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. Of course, it is equally suitable for meanderings around festivals, being marvellous and generally fabulous at any event. It has been seamlessly made using our own hand rolled felt, to a template designed in house by our very own Trotterton. It is shaped and blocked by hand - no hatblock. We used hot water, olive oil soap and pure natural wool to make it - nothing else but the power of our hands.

Needless to say this hat is a stand alone piece, the only one of it's kind.

We used shades of henna, cinnamon, tangerine and deep cherry red, all beautifully combined by hand. There are also small amounts of natural deep grey and brown shades of Merino, Blue Faced Leicester and Romney wools included in the blend for extra texture and colour effect. The hat band is pure black merino wool and the button is one of our own, hand tooled from a rescued branch of a plum tree from a local mini orchard, finished in natural waxes and oils. The edge of the hat is smoothed out yet keeping some of the organic, naturally crinkly edge of the felt - much more beautiful than straight lines!

This hat will fit a head size of 22 - 22.5 inches around the circumference. It is good to buy a felt hat to fit you snugly or even a tiny little bit tight as it will mould to your head after a few weeks of wearing. And you will wear it, endlessly.
