Brooch - Fibula - Shawl Pin - handmade lampwork beads with pure copper
Description
A really pretty handmade lampwork bead by my very talented lampwork artist friend Helen Mitchell.
I've used 1.6mm pure copper wire, hammered to harden and add an organic texture. Complimented with some toning faux pearls and pure copper swirls.
The pin has a gorgeous metallic look, with plum, blues, and pinkish tones
This lovely pin would look great on a scarf or jumper - or brighten up a coat.
Please note that as the wire is 1.6mm thick, it is too thick to go through cotton or close woven fabrics but its perfect for wool or woolmixes with a looser weave. The pin part has been sharpened and then hammered so it will move the fibres apart rather than pierce the fibres.
