This ring is totally handmade in silver, and drawings are engraved by hand.

The middle part of the ring spins so the ring can be worn with the bird or with the cage on the top.
the ring is oxidised and a milligrain effect is made on the edge of the disc for an antique style.
the engraved surfaces are mat finish and the sest of the ring is polished.
2 leaves are engraved on the sides of the ring.

if you hold the ring at the base and make the disc spin fast enough you will see the 2 drawings becoming one: the bird in the cage.
this ring is delicate and confortable to wear.

There is a possibility to engrave any drawings or inscriptions you may have in mind on the 2 discs, don't hesitate to contact me to discuss your idea.

When I create I like to use some iconographies which bring back to the childhood and make people dream. This ring is based on the vicorian toy: "the thaumatrope" ,when the disc spins fast enough, two pictures appear to combine into a single image due to persistence of vision: the bird appears in the cage. not everybody knows this ancient toy and I found very interesting to transpose this concept into a piece of jewellery . I like to give movements to my jewellery and I find the concept of a reversible ring very attractive.
