According to Celtic belief the Tree of Life is the best way to symbolise the balance and harmony observed in nature. The Tree of Life is believed to be an entity which connects the lower and upper worlds, the branches reaching to heaven and the roots with the lower world while the trunk is on the plane of the earth. The Tree Of Life is believed to represent virtues such as strength, beauty, wisdom, protection, bounty and redemption.
The pendant itself measures about 3cm across, or about 1.25 inches. The piece is hung from a 16 inch silver plated snake chain and is presented in a beautiful silver grey gift box.

Inspiration
I've always loved wire work and chain maille, and after working with wire and beads on my stained glass work (see Raven's Stained Glass, also on Folksy) going into jewellery making was almost a natural progression for me.
