This is a miniature wet-felted cupcake handmade using 100% wool fibres, and a small amount of sewing thread. The sponge is Vanilla 'flavour', and is decorated with a generous dollop of white icing and topped of with a red glace cherry & a sprinkling of coloured 'hundreds and thousands'. The case is pale blue and white gingham and is made from woven linen and cotton blended fabric.

The cupcake can be used as a pincushion (the density of the fibres make them ideal for this ), in gentle play for an older child, or simply used as display on a plate or cakestand. It would also make a great gift for someone who has a sweet tooth but doesn't want the calories that go with it! It isn't recommended for children under the age of three due to the woolly nature of the fibres and the small parts used in some of the decoration.

The cupcake can be gently cleaned in cold water. Detailed instructions for cleaning are included on the packaging. A picture of how the cake is packaged is included in the listing, and also a picture taken on (my) hand to give an idea of its size.

The cupcake measures approximately 4.5 cm diameter and stands approximately 6.5 cm tall.
