THE NECKLACE IS 46CM LONG. THE LONGEST POINT OF THE CENTRAL FAN IS 30CM. THE OVAL BEADS MEASURE 15MMX12MM. THE 3MM SPACER BEADS ARE STERLING SILVER AS IS THE CLASP ON THE NECKLACE AND THE EAR WIRES. THE EARRINGS HAVE ONE SHELL BEAD, ONE 4MM STERLING SILVER BEAD AND ONE 3MM STERLING SILVER BEAD. THE DROP OF THE EARRINGS IS 21MM.
THE COLOURS ARE MUCH MORE VIVID THAN THE PHOTO SHOWS. THE LIGHT IS DANCING OFF THE SHELL.
Traditionally the Maori people of New Zealand believed that paua held the energy of the sea. Revered for its healing properties, the paua shell is said to promote serenity and creativity.
Inspiration
It was the beauty of these shells that drew me in. I have a necklace, bracelet and earrings set myself and whenever I wear them, I spend a lot of time admiring them in mirrors and shop windows.they are one of my best sellers at craft fairs.
