I’ve wanted to make a completely crocheted bag for a while, and I’m really pleased with how this turned out. I use a central motif from a brilliant book by Melody Griffiths, and made up the rest as I went along! The back is plain treble crochet. A lovely summery bag, perfect for treat for yourself or for a gift!

I used Wendy Sorrento yarn which is a lovely soft but hardwearing blend of 50% cotton and 50% acrylic. I love the cool aqua colour too. The bag has a simple plaited strap with a tassel at each bottom corner, and an equally simple loop and wooden toggle fastening at the top. The lining is white cotton, and is cut a bit larger than the dimensions of the bag as the crochet fabric will stretch during use.

The body of the bag is a rectangle 27cm wide and 23cm tall. The strap is approximately 90cm long.

Please handwash and dry your bag flat to keep it looking lovely! As with all my handbags, this is a one-off. Lindylou x
