This unusual wall plaque would look attractive on a tree, wall or fence.

I have used predominantly irridescent vitreous glass tiles in white for the wings and blues and mauves on the body, which reflect rainbow colours when viewed from different angles. The top section has three matt black ceramic tiles and a shiny black tip for the tail. Two clear red irridescent glass nuggets/gems have also been included. His eyes are clear yellow nuggets. The black grout really makes the colours 'pop' and gives the 'vein-like' appearance to the wings.
Made from weatherproof materials which are frost and UV resistant and a premium grout that is resistant to mould too. However, it would be advisable to bring him indoors in severe and/or windy conditions.
On the reverse, two keyhole shaped hangers have been drilled out so that he can hang on nail at a jaunty angle either to the left or the right. Alternatively, prop him amongst flowers, foliage, or next to a pond or water feature, or even in a potted plant for a fun and eye-catching conversation piece!

Would make a great gift; or how about treating yourself?

All my mosaics are made by me and cut by hand, and so can take hours if not days to complete.
