Mention trugs and most people think of the traditional Sussex trug made from coppiced chestnut and cleft willow but they can be made from a variety of materials and in all sorts of shapes. This trug is made from pine and can be used in many different ways. Most people who have had one use it as a decoration and put in a variety of things including pine cones and pot-pourri. Someone else uses one to serve up roles at dinner time. It is not suitable for outdoor use. The trug has been oil finished to bring out the natural beauty of the wood.
