Citrus Coloured Patchwork Quilt Single Bed
Description
This quilt measures 72 by 58. It is made in some lovely citrus colours to give it a tropical feel to it with the oranges and greens. The quilt has been put together on the sewing machine and then it has been hand quilted which has taken three weeks to do.
The patchwork middle is made up from 4 squares with various fabrics including some Laura Ashley and Kaffe Fassett ones. The wide border around the outside is Liberty fabric, then it is bound with small strips of fabric taken from the ones used in the middle.
The backing of the quilt is a nice cream cotton which has a stripe to it made into the fabric. The wadding used is a polyester light weight wadding which means it will wash nicely.
The quilt fits over a single bed as in two of the photos. There is also a photo of it on top of a double bed, you can see it fits over the top part without any hanging down the sides. On the single bed it does hang down the sides.
Inspiration
I thought these colours went together well so decided to make them up into a quilt.
