3D Stained Glass Butterfly, Yellow
Description
This beautiful piece of 3D glass work represents a yellow butterfly perched on the edge of a white flower as if resting in the sun on a warm day. It would make a lovely gift for a mum, a sister or female relative on a birthday, special occasion or even as a Christmas gift.
Made using the traditional tiffany method, the butterfly is made from a streaky yellow glass, while the flower is a whispy white colour. The leaves are a green ripple effect glass and the piece is supported by matt green glass nuggets. All the pieces of glass are individually hand cut, wrapped in copper foil and then soldered into the componant parts. These are then assembled into the piece you see in the photographs.
This measures approximately 14cm across and stands about 7cm tall.

Inspiration
As you can tell by my shop I really do love stained glass but I don't necessarily believe the end results should be flat, hence my 3D range of items. I love seeing the butterflies flitting round in my garden in the summer, and hope this 3D piece will remind you of summer in your garden.
