sproing is coming! cute zombie lemur spreads cheer and doom!

this notebook cover features an appliqued and embroidered zombie lemur on the front cover, based on an original drawing by Little Black Heart, and is entirely handmade by me on a domestic sewing machine.

the lemur is in white cotton with a cute floral print on his face, tummy and tail.
the fabrics are layered and appliqued onto pre-washed calico, before i draw onto them with free machine (free motion) embroidery. french knot blood drips from his little hands.

everything is cut, stitched and handmade, with care, by me, ensuring each notebook is unique, well made and securely constructed.

the notebook slipcover is made from heavy weight calico which has been pre-washed several times so it’s soft and should not shrink.
the seams are overlocked and topstitched and the cover is stiffened with vilene.
this notebook is the perfect size for handbags, and has a handy flap inside for tucking bits and bobs like receipts. great for gifts and/or for obsessive list makers!

the calico cover is washable and re-usable, so you can simply replace the notebook when it's full – the first notebook is included. the notebooks are manufactured in the UK, they are superior quality hard cover, manuscript books with lined pages, measuring 15cm x 10.5cm.
