Inspiration

A painting from a series I did from the infamous 'pram race' held as part of Hastings Old Town week. It depicts the Revolver bar team dressed as spacemen with one of the Elvis team in the background. I wanted to capture the surreal nature of the event. It is from my archive and was actually painted in 2003. It's acrylic on canvas with a silver ground, which gives it a shimmering dreamlike quality which is hard to capture in a photograph. I'm very fond of this painting, and would love to find it a good home where it can be looked at every day.
