Tavistock Tortoise is a handy little friend; I use my tortoise as a pincushion!

This listing is for patterns for you to knit your own Tavistock Tortoise. The patterns include instructions and lots of photos to help you make your own little friends. You can choose whether to make the tortoise with long floppy legs, or short stumpy legs. Both styles are included in the pattern.

Please note that this is not a listing for a finished item. This listing is for the knitting patterns only.

The pattern is 8 pages and is written so it is easier for beginners to follow. You will need to be able to do the following stitches/techniques: knit, purl, casting on and off, sewing seams, increases and decreases, and changing colours (knitting stripes).

All pieces are knitted flat on straight 3mm needles, and uses less than 25g each of dark green, light green and brown wool.

The finished tortoise is 7 cm tall, 14 cm long
