Embroidered art picture in dark jade and turquoise fiber fabric textile has been made using hand and machine embroidery and stitches. The many techniques used to create the highly textural and decorative surface make it very difficult to describe.

However, the textile picture has been made using several layers of fabric which comprise:

Chiffon fabrics and ribbons have been machine stitched and the excess burnt away.

Handmade paper (made by me) and fabric has been painted and shapes cut out.

Various machine and hand stitches and threads have been used to decorate the fabrics and paper.

A few beads add to the final texture.

It is dark jade turquoise in colour with a hint of green and gold as highlights.

The frame is painted dark jade to tone with the work and measures 12 x 9 inches. The embroidery in the centre measures 6 x 4 inches. The embroidered is mounted on handmade paper which measures 8 x 6 inches.

The work is unglazed.

This item has been hand stitched by me and made in a non-smoking and pet free home.
