Little racing pigeon gocco printed on gorgeous vintage book page. I found this book in the back of my favorite book shop in Scarborough and though ooo... I can do pigeons! it then promptly sat on my shelf for a year while I repeatedly failed to draw a pigeon!

The paper is lovely and creamy with age and the book page is from Harold Blunt's Tackle Pigeon Racing this way, first printed in 1961. There are a few blemishes on the paper from the age of the book but they add to the character of the print.

This clever little pigeon can find his was home from anywhere even with out a map, he doesn't even need to ask for directions! Pigeon racing is a very Yorkshire pastime!
