A stylish and feminine tunic top made from the reworked pieces of men's shirts. My local charity shop get a lot of men's shirts donated that they cannot resell due to damaged/stained collars and cuffs, so I decided to come up with some ways to rework the shirts, removing the unusable bits, but saving the lovely flattering fabric, to help them avoid the landfill site! This is one of a series of reclaimed shirt tops I am working on. The top utilises the original buttons and button stand of an Armani shirt, I have added a small panel of shirring elastic at the back to create shape and at the sleeve heads also. The bottom part is made up of the long sleeves of the Armani shirt and a plain white shirt. The top is now a UK womens size 12/14 and is 72cm in length. this would look great dressed down with jeans or with trousers for the office. All the reclaimed fabrics are thoroughly laundered before use.
