This cute piggy candle is the perfect gift for any pig lover!! The candle was made by rolling out slabs of clay and then cutting out 2 pig shapes and a band to join the two. I stuck the pieces using slip (clay glue) I scored in a nose and eyes. It was then left to dry and fired to 980C.

Once it had cooled down in the kiln, I hand painted it using glazes, pale pink gloss for the head and dark pink gloss for the snout. The pig was then fired again, this time to 1220C.

After leaving it to cool again, I filled the candle with a red, berry scented wax, and put some felt on the bottom.

The candle is 6cm tall, 5cm wide and 4.5 cm deep.
