The jingle of ice cubes in a jug of iced water is a comforting sound on a hot summer day when the mercury keeps rising. I designed this large pouring jug for serving water or perhaps a few cocktails with friends at your next barbecue.

Hand thrown on my potters wheel this pitcher features a bulging belly shape, tall neck and a generous pouring lip to provide a steady flow. There's also a sturdy pulled handle to support the weight of the jug once its been filled, gentle throwing rings remain on the outside so you can feel where my hands have pulled the clay upwards.

The inside and outside have been glazed in a natural brown which is a rich glaze of wood browns and creams. The bottom half of the jug has been left unglazed so you can feel the sandy texture and colour of the natural clay.

This jug can be cleaned in the dishwasher.

The jug is 4.5 inches (11.5 cm) in diameter and 5.3 inches (13.5 cm) in height.

As much as I love our furry friends this piece was created in a pet free and smoke free studio.
