embroidered turquoise peace dove purse.

this generously sized zip purse measures approximately 17.5cm wide x 12 cm (7” x 4.5”) and is entirely handmade by me on a domestic sewing machine.

it features an appliqued and embroidered turquoise peace dove, with a bright red heart on its chest. the wing and tail feather details are in a printed fabric, as are the tiny leaves on the branches.

the cotton fabrics are layered and appliqued onto pre-washed calico, and the intricate details drawn on with free machine (free motion) embroidery, before i make up the finished item.

everything is cut, stitched and handmade, with care, by me, ensuring it is unique, well made and securely constructed.

the case is heavy weight calico which has been pre-washed several times so it’s soft and should not shrink. the front is stiffened with vilene, it’s lined with red cotton and has a zip fastening.

it would be perfect as a little make-up purse, as a case for a phone or compact camera or for storing other bits & bobs. and would make a beautiful and unique gift …for yourself or someone else.
