This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique. It is entirely hand crafted, unique and very special.
This is one of my range of 4 designs of smaller, 8cm, Love Heart suncatchers.
I have named it Diamond because of the diamond pattern within the heart which I have then emphasised by very sparkly "diamond cut" clear glass and underneath I have attached a beautiful big fat "diamond" (This is a crystal which I bought from China Town in Bangkok last year and was really quite expensive so I only bought two !)
The rest of the heart is made from two types and textures of rich red glass.
and red/amber glass which has lots of lovely texture to make it sparkle.
It is 8cm high and hangs from a silvery chain which is securely attached to the top of the heart.
It looks lovely hanging in the window where the different textures and colours of glass give it movement and sparkle as it catches the light and the crystal underneath is especially twinkly.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
