I'm often inspired by the ancient pottery of other cultures and this vase is a tribute to the symmetrical pottery of the Greeks. This vase would add an element of drama to any room and would be equally striking filled with delicate garden flowers or simply empty on a mantlepiece.

This piece was hand thrown on my pottery wheel from stoneware clay, I also created two small handles to give the pot a classic Grecian silhouette. A glossy mirror black decorates the outside of the piece and a simple transparent on the inside brings out the natural sandy colour of the clay.

A 'splash' decoration was created on the front using wax to make a contrast between the light and dark areas of the pot.

This piece can be cleaned in the dishwasher or carefully by hand.

The vase has a diameter of 3.8 inches (9.5 cm) and a height of 7 inches (17.7 cm).

I love our four legged furry friends but our studio is a pet free and smoke free environment.
