This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
The design is based on squares within a square. In the centre is a large white swirled glass nuggets and at each corner are clear iridescent glass nuggets. The inner squares are framed with a clear slightly textured border. I have used 4 toning colour and textures of glass, purples and pinks for the 8 small, 1inch, internal squares.
The suncatcher is is 5” square and hangs from the corner from a silvery chain securely attached via a soldered wire ring.
This looks lovely hanging in the light where it shines and would make a wonderful and unique present.
I never make two pieces exactly the same. Even from the same pattern I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
