Ceramic Pottery Crouching Lady Figure Sculpture
Description
This is a hand sculpted figure of a woman in a crouching pose. It is made by myself from a lump of pure white stoneware clay, moulded by hand and with love....It is fired to 1250 degrees and is hollowed out underneath to survive the firing process. It is glazed with a shiney clear glaze with a slight crackle to it which excentuates the beautiful white clay. The hair has been stained with a little manganese dioxide to bring out the texture.
It is 6cm tall....14.5cm long....and 6.5cm wide

my inspiration for this piece was...the forest, Love, folklore, woodnymphs and fairies...(the New Forest is full of them!)...
