Recycled Tapestry cushion
Description
A 15 inch (38cm) square cushion with a wool tapestry front, in a psychedelic 70's style with a purple cotton velvet back, button fastened with carved wood buttons. Complete with a polyester cushion pad.
In a recient visit to my local charity shop I came across this fabulous tapestry, the design had been finished but it was just on the canvas, it hadn't been made into anything. It was too beautiful to go to waste so I brought it home and made it into a cushion for some discerning person who believes in recycling!

Inspiration
My aim is to use the resources of the earth to their fullest extent, somone had spent hours making this tapestry and I wanted to make it into something that could be used. If I knew an upholsterer I could have asked them to put it on top of a foot stool, but I don't and I didn't so I made a cushion that can go on the sofa!
