After the rain - newspaper yarn art
Description
A little sail boat created from handspun newspaper yarn. All the colours you see have been found by hand picking pieces of newspaper with colour in to include in the yarn before glueing into place to create this piece.
At first glance newspapers look only black and white, but careful hand spinning has brought out the blues, greys and yellows to create this sail boat piece.
A perfect little paper gift 6.5 inches square in a natural wood box frame created by spinning bad news into colourful art.
Can be given for any occasion you wish including Father's day, Mother's day, birthdays or anniversaries - especially a paper wedding anniversary!

Inspiration
Striving to turn bad news into good news is what all of us do all around the world on a daily basis. Newspapers often tend to report very complex stories in black and white and indeed when we think of a newspaper black and white are the colours that spring to mind but tear it up and spin it into yarn and colours and complexity can be found.
I am inspired by those that pick apart news stories and try to disentangle the facts from opinion - there are too many to mention but Ben Goldacre and NHS Choices "Behind the Headlines" do a good job for health and medicine stories.
