This beautifully hand-crafted mahogany-stained pincushion comes with a detachable base, allowing one to cover the top moulded form with an embroidery of your choice, e.g. crewel embroidery, silk ribbon embroidery, x-stitch , blackwork, etc.
Cover with a beautiful fabric and stick your pins, needles, broaches or hat pins into it.
The form measures 5 inches (12.5cm) in diameter. NB - I have taken the dome shape into account , ie the area that the embroidery can fit onto is 12.5 cm in diameter.
It stands on 4 little round legs. It is handmade in the UK and is of solid wood. It comes with a full set of instructions for attaching your embroidery.
